About the date
25 December, every year
This countdown follows Christmas Day on 25 December in the Gregorian calendar. The date stays the same each year, while the weekday changes. Christmas Eve is 24 December.
Some Christian communities celebrate Christmas on a different date. This page tracks the 25 December observance, rather than an employer’s observed day off.
